June is a great month for getting out and about in Liverpool and Merseyside, with longer evenings, outdoor events and the start of the summer programme at many venues.

This guide will be fully updated with confirmed events, family days out, theatre, live music and free activities ahead of June. In the meantime, there are a few things that are always worth looking out for at this time of year.
What usually happens in Liverpool in June?
June often brings some of Liverpool’s biggest live music events, with major concerts taking place at Anfield and Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The Pier Head also comes alive during the summer, with the Liverpool Waterfront concert series bringing outdoor music to one of the city’s best-known locations.
Over in Prescot, Shakespeare North Playhouse starts its summer theatre season, with performances and events taking place both inside the theatre and outdoors.
June is also a brilliant time to explore Liverpool’s football stadiums while the football season is over. Tours of Anfield Stadium and Hill Dickinson Stadium are worth considering if you’ve always fancied having a look behind the scenes.
I’ll be adding my review of the Hill Dickinson Stadium Tour soon after visiting earlier this year.
Planning ahead?
I’ll be updating this page with confirmed June events as they are announced.
